Bah! Humbug! #10 - Apertures

Posted by PicasaIn keeping with my 'standard postage' mantra I have not used foam pads at all on this card. I have cut a circle aperture with nesties in the red card and then cut a frame for it in silver. I know it looks rather flat and you may think I have just stuck the image on top, it really is recessed into the card.
My nativity scene is by Ezybelles and is coloured with Copics. I know Mary probably wasn't a red head but I have a rather limited selection of colours - so I claim artistic licence! The Peace stamp is by Elusive images and embossed in silver. I thought the silver ric rac nicely duplicated the frame around the image.
Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a comment - they cheer me up in this awful wintry weather we are having.

  1. Great card Janet, the ric rac certainly does work extremely well with the nestie frame

  3. oh love this - a great image.
Didn't realise you were unaware of Max being out of action. She broke her wrist badly a couple of months ago and is unable to do any crafting. It's been a nightmare for her.

  6. Hi Janet, what would we do without nesties - they allow us to make wonderful shaped apertures! Love how you opted for red and silver as opposed to the more traditional gold. Thank you for sharing with us at Bah! Humbug! and for the kind message. Progress is so much slower than I'd hoped but will just have to be patient. Doc warned it could take 18 months! At least the pain has eased a bit now so that means I'm not quite so crabby lol!
