My image and backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Times Gone By and reminds me of my Dad. He was a pilot in WW2 and loved flying. The sentiment is the first two lines of a wonderful poem by John Gillespie Magee a 19 year old American pilot who died on active service over Britain. I have included the poem as the card's insert.
Thanks for dropping by and please feel free to leave a comment, I appreciate them all.
Wow Janet, thats a wonderful card! I wouldn't have thought about using a plane for that challenge and the poem is wonderful!

Such a lovely card and the sentiment behind it even more so. It is so good to see a quite unusual take on our challenge, proves that it doesn't have to be hearts and flowers. Thanks for sharing this with us at CD Sunday.
