This challenge nearly sent me crackers! I couldn't believe that I had nothing in my stamp mountain that even remotely looked like a Christmas cracker. Fortunately the gallant Rob Addams came to the rescue in his CD Christmas Backing Papers. My main image of a Christmas hamper is from an unknown source - coloured in with my small collection of Copic markers. The sentiment is from Elegant WordArt by Bethany.
When I couldn't find an image for this challenge, my husband John suggested that I photograph 2 x cream crackers with a sprig of holly on top!
Thanks for visiting and please leave a comment - I do find them encouraging.
Fabulous card Janet,great image.xxx
ReplyDeleteThats one of those backing papers I'd look at and not know what to do with it, but it looks superb on this card!!!
ReplyDeleteJohns idea might have worked for the image but I much prefer the one you've used LOL!!!

Oh Janet aren't men wonderful? I must admit I thought about cheating and doing a really brilliant card (I wish!) and giving it the title 'It's a cracker!'
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable how few cracker stamps there are out there - gap in the market methinks! Quick Ann Whitfield if you see this get a digi on the market fast!
Love your card Janet and glad Rob saved the day - although a photo of a cream cracker with a funny saying would have been great too.

Backing paper to the rescue! Well done, Janet. Crackers are not a biggie in the US, except the kind you eat like Ritz. You have done a great card here with your Christmas surprise. Very beautiful coloring.
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! love your hubby's suggestion! Although I haven't taken part I did see the theme for this week and had the same realisation that I have absolutely nothing in my stamp collection relating to Christmas crackers.
ReplyDeleteWell done, you came good in the end. The card is great.

Hi Janet , am catching up with commenting at last and had a giggle when I read what your hubby suggested! What a terrific humourous card that would be! So pleased you managed to dig deep into your coffers and come up with this super card. Thank you for sharing with us at Bah! Humbug!
