DragonsDream TIO #117 - To Dye For

My tag has been made using the kitchen roll I use to put under objects when I spray Glimmer Mists!  I have been very pushed for time lately - working outside in the fields,  so I thought that I would use a ready made background.  I have stamped a woodland scene with a background stamp from Impression Obsession in cocoa Archival ink and some willow fronds from Creative Expressions in library green Archival ink.  The die cut is from a Sizzix steel rule die, cut in cardboard and then embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  The bird has been coloured with picket fence Distress Stains, walnut stain Distress Ink and the embossed swirls glazed with rose glaze from Crafty Notions.

OneStop Craft Challenge #81 - Birthstones

I have never entered this challenge before but when I saw the topic was "Birthstones", I knew I had to have a go! The birthstones I have chosen are mine - Aquamarines - for a March birthday.

The dragonfly image (Joanna Sheen) is embossed in silver and embellished with varying sizes of gems. I have sponged several shades of blue around the image and mounted this onto a piece of toning watercolour paper spritzed with glimmer mists.

The backing paper is by Artylicious and the sentiment from Stampin Up.

Dragonsdream Tag It On Challenge - Distressing

I have used two stamps on this tag, a small flourish by Clarity and the large rose corner by The StampMan.

On pinky beige card I stamped the rose corner in Walnut Stain DI and then stamped the flourishes with Tattered Rose DI and versamark and embossed in clear. I then painted the rose with DI reinkers and sponged inks onto the tag to tone. The edges of the tag were very roughly embossed with gold ep. I then took a deep breath and sprayed the whole tag with Irridescent Gold Glimmer mist and watched the colours bleed.

I am very pleased with the result although you cannot see from the picture the lovely sheen it has from the glimmer mist.
