Pink and Tangerine

This is my entry for Crafty Ann's Challenge blog #17 - Embossing. My colour palette was inspired by the orange ribbon with pink spots.

This is a big card 8 x 8 as I wanted to try my version of a poppy and I knew they would not turn out small and dainty! The pink card was embossed in the Bug and the raised areas coloured with Pearlescent Orange Brilliance Ink. The left over card was punched and made into two poppies and the third made out of plain pink card coloured on the edges. The stamped image (Elusive Images) was black embossed and coloured with pencils.

To complete the card I punched three corners with a MS punch and added black ribbon with the orange and pink ribbon over the top. I mounted this onto a black base card. Black foliage was also added using a L-em punch.

I do hope you like this card and I look forward to your comments, which are always appreciated.

I would never have thought that pink and orange would have worked so well together but you have sure succeeded here with this lovely card.
