Crafty Ann's Challenge #16 - Fly the Flag

I was very lucky enough to win twice on Crafty Anns Blog Hop this week! First from Kym's blog and secondly from Crafty Ann herself! Absolutely amazing! One of the downloaded sheets from Ann were these lovely pale blue roses. As I live in Scotland I thought I would enter the football theme with a Scottish Saltire colourscheme. Unfortunately the national side did not qualify for the World Cup - but what the heck!

I hand cut the circles after drawing around a saucer and a side plate. Very scary. The backing paper is from a CD by Docrafts and the sentiment is by Elusive Images. I put gold glitter in the centres of the flowers and gold embossed the words.

This card looks very grand in real life and I will be giving it to a very grand lady later in the year.

Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment.

  1. Well done for winning in the blog hop Janet. I think you've made a fantastic job of these flowers - which are lovely to start with. You have made them so dimensional and the plain circle sets them off a treat. I'm sure the 'grand lady' whoever she is will love it.
Thank you for joining in Crafty Ann's latest challenge too.

  2. WOW!!!!! This is grand in the picture Janet - in real life it must be an absolute knockout! It's lovely that you've used one of the sheets you won in the last challenge and it's earned you two entries into the draw this time. I love the colour scheme you've used and the way you've interpreted the challenge but I also love how you've shown just how different the flowers can look just by the way you shape them - wonderful work.
