Crafty Ann's Challenge #46 - Summertime and the Living is Easy

Over at Crafty Ann's we are having a summertime themed challenge and hope you will all join in and give us your thoughts on easy summer living!

I've gone for a comfy chair, a straw hat and the perfume of the flowers in my shady part of the garden.  The backing paper is from Ann's Mottled Stone collection and the stamp is called Morning Glory.  It is a lovely digi stamp and comes in three designs - plain, with script background and with trellis background.  I have used the trellis version for this card and printed it over the backing paper.  The chair stamp is by Serendipity and the pot of purple daisies are by Stampin USA.  All the images have been coloured with Copics.  I have mounted the main image onto a thin border of mauve card and then onto a cream mat that has been punched with the Martha Stewart Trellis Punch.  My base card is lemon to match the backing paper.  The sentiment is by Elusive Images to which I have added three toning pearls.

DragonsDream TIO #50 - On a Musical Note

This week's tag uses a stamp set from Stampin' USA. The images have been embossed in black and the tag coloured with Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks. The acetate overlay tag has a musical border (from Lakeland, bought many moons ago) stuck to it. It is so old, the self adhesive backing no longer sticks! Some black crystal wired beads finish it off.

Sorry I couldn't take part last week Frankie, had too much to do but will certainly have a go at making the paper roses!

Rainbow Lady's Challenge #103 - Ocean Shades of Blue & Green & an Initial

I just knew straight away what I wanted to do - FISH! I am going through a very watery phase at the moment I think!

I made the background with alcohol inks, Lettuce, Aqua, Bottle and Stonewash then stamped the fish (Stampin' USA) in black archival, stamping off the page for some of them to create depth.

I drew the seaweed with Pinflair Gel and stuck seed beads and a few sequins on to give more dimension and shimmer. It is the first time I have done this and it seems to work well. The initial came from Rob Adams' Medieval CD which I clear embossed and mounted onto some green satin mirri board like the main image. To finish off I stamped some more fish in Versamark on the base card.
