CD Sunday Challenge - A is for ...Apples and Pears

The staircase is a stamp by Serendipity Stamps which has been coloured with Copics and then given the Flowersoft treatment for the flowers and foliage cascading down the steps.  The topiary backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Cottage Gardens CD and the lovely lace border is a gift from my friend Jen who very kindly punches strips out for me whenever she buys a new Martha Stewart punch! This has been coloured with Forest Moss Distress Ink.

Thank you for dropping by and feel free to leave a comment - I appreciate them all.

CD Sunday Challenge - Damask Delights

Can't you tell it is raining here?  Both cards use backing papers from Artylicious Damask Delights CD.  The stamp is from Stampin' Up and has been coloured with marker pens.  The lilac card has corners punched with a Martha Stewart punch and the peach card has been punched with a Stampin' Up border and corner punch.  Some little gems in the centres of the flowers complete.

Bah! Humbug! Challenge #30 - Through the Window

The lovely holly flourish corners arrived this week in a grab bag from Graphicus and I just had to use them! I embossed them in Green Tinsel embossing powder and then added red glitter to the berries.

The image through the window is from Stampin USA and is of a snow laden fir tree in a forest, this was also embossed with Green Tinsel. The acetate window was chosen from a pageful of variously shaped windows from a CD called Silhouette Sensations. The sentiment was stamped in red and the oval was embossed with Stardust embossing powder. The two corners were punched using a Martha Stewart trellis punch.

Thanks for visiting my blog and please feel free to leave a comment, I do love reading them and find them very encouraging.

DragonsDream TIO #45 - 3D Metallic Mode

I have had great fun making this week's offering and got extremely inky into the bargain!

This tag is mainly made of embellishments made of alu tape and alcohol inks mounted onto a base which has been stamped, inked, cuttlebugged and dusted with Perfect Pearls.

I think there is alot of mileage in using alu tape (DIY kind) as it is quite strong, flexible, takes alcohol inks really well and can be punched. If you are very careful, you can unpeel the backing and stick it down onto another surface. Burnish it with your finger and it will take on the shape of the surface beneath. The stamps used are butterfly (MS) birds and branches (Stampin' Up) and flowers (Woodware).

Thank you for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment as I appreciate them all.

Bah! Humbug! Challenge #18 - Punched Borders

This week's entry uses Papermania "A Wonderful Christmas Time" papers and a bit of magic from my friend Gladys who lives down the road.
The card is very simple and keeps to a vintage theme that I am most comfortable with. The paper punch is from Martha Stewart. The sentiment is by Elusive Images and the gorgeous ribbon is a leftover scrap given to me by Gladys who makes the most glorious Christmas wreaths.
Red, green and cream are my most favourite Yule tide colours and I never tire of them.
