Dragonsdream TIO #121 - Alice and the Rabbit Situation

This tag represents the situation at Redmoss right now - we have had a huge explosion in the rabbit population and I wish I had a wand like Alice to make them go away!  There are dozens of tiny little bunnies hopping about in the evening and early morning eating all my flowers.

The large rabbit and the smaller bunnies are digis from FreeVintageDigiStamps (see sidebar)and I have played with them in Craft Artist.  Alice and the wording are from Clear Art Stamps.  Alice has been stamped, coloured with Copics, cut out and added to the scene.

Thanks for stopping by and do feel free to leave a comment.

Postcard Travels with Roland Poland - Week 30 India

Roland Poland  writes to his half-brother Malcolm,

Hi Malcolm,
Was half asleep, under the table, when I heard Xui say,
"Let's go to the Taj Mahal".
GREAT - I thought - chicken bhuna and poppadums,
my favourite.
What a let down - nothing to eat and not a waiter
in sight.  Not like the Bengal Spice in Morecambe.
RP

Here is the travel book page I made for the ungrateful little chap.

I have included snake charmers and elephants together with festival dancing and bathing in the Ganges.  The colours are simply wonderful.
The postcard has been brayered over a resist paisley pattern and stamped with a variety of stamps from Tanda and  Non Sequitor.  It seemed appropriate to include lots of bling as the colours seemed to shout for it!
Thanks for stopping by and do feel free to leave a comment - I find them all very encouraging.

CD Sunday Challenge - A is for ...Apples and Pears

The staircase is a stamp by Serendipity Stamps which has been coloured with Copics and then given the Flowersoft treatment for the flowers and foliage cascading down the steps.  The topiary backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Cottage Gardens CD and the lovely lace border is a gift from my friend Jen who very kindly punches strips out for me whenever she buys a new Martha Stewart punch! This has been coloured with Forest Moss Distress Ink.

Thank you for dropping by and feel free to leave a comment - I appreciate them all.

Postcard Travels with Roland Poland - Week 29 Ireland

This week finds Xui and our canine warrior in Ireland, enjoying the sights and sounds of the Emerald Isle.
Roland Poland writes to his brother, Malcolm,

Hi Malcolm,
Ireland is a great place.
We are out all day on windswept beaches and spend
the evenings in cosy pubs.
I like lying in front of the fire, drinking Guinness out
of a saucer and eating crisps.
Can life get better than this?
RP

Here is his travel book

We have included some of the sights RP has seen on his visit, The Giant's Causeway and a typical rural countryside landscape.  Famous Irish folk include Van Morrison, Oscar Wilde and the characters of Father Ted, one of RP's favourite comedies.
The postcard was inspired by a photo I saw when researching this project, and was hand drawn and coloured with Distress Inks and white acrylic paint.
Thank you for visiting and do follow the other travellers on this around the world adventure (link in sidebar).

CD Sunday Challenge - Pearls and Swirls

My image is from the Venetian Collection from Debbi Moore and has been coloured with Copics and the flounces on the dress have been glittered.  The flourish was cut with my Cricut, coloured with markers and pearls added.  The backing paper is from Artylicious Decadent Brocade CD.  The corners have been punched with a Stampin' Up punch.
Thank you for looking and do feel free to leave a comment - I find them most encouraging.

Postcard Travels with Roland Poland - Week 28 Germany

Roland Poland and Mrs Xong are in Berlin for Fashion Week.

He writes to his half-brother Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,
As you can see, we are in Berlin for Fashion Week.
It is full of birdcages and skinny women dressed in leather.
The missus has got me some leder hosen and they are
rather tight in certain places.
It is hell being a fashion accessory.
RP

Here is the page I made for his travel book.

We have included Alfred Einstein, Ludwig Von Beethoven and The Brothers Grimm, a name, incidentally,  by which Roland Poland and Malcolm were known when they were puppies.  A couple wearing national costume, featuring leder hosen and the make of his favourite motor,  Mercedes Benz.

The postcard was made using brayer resist method and stamps from LB stamps and Sugar Nellie.

I do hope you will visit the other travellers on this most informative and exciting adventure. (link in sidebar).  Thank you for stopping by.

Postcard Travels with Roland Poland - Week 27 Isle of Man

Xui and Roland Poland have been to the TT races then onto Peel Castle where, unbeknown to Roland, legend has it, it is haunted by a spectral black dog, The Moddey Dhoo,  It is reputed to terrify to death anyone it dislikes.

He writes to his half-brother Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,
Went to the TT races with Xui - bikes were going too fast
and none of them had stabilizers like ours.
Went to Peel Castle, what is it with all these Black Dogs?
Malcolm, they are following me.  I can see its red eyes.
RP

This is the page I made for him in his travel book.

I have included photos of Peel Castle, motorcycling and a Manx cat.  People say that the tail-less or short-tailed cat native of this island is more like a dog with its penchant for being with people.  Roland Poland doesn't think so. The badge insignia belongs to the Isle of Man Police Constabulary.

Thank you for joining us on our journey and I do hope you will visit all the other travellers on the Postcard Challenge (link in sidebar).

CD Sunday Challenge - Seaside Treasures

I have used a variety of stamps for my seaside scene this week.  The sunburnt granny is from I Brake for Stamps and the children and scenery from a couple of sets from Rubadubbado.  The images have been coloured with Copics and then matted onto a Glimmer Misted panel  which has been embossed with sail boats from Forever Friends.  The cloud backing paper is from Messy Rabbit CD by Joanna Sheen.

Thanks for stopping by and for all your lovely comments.  I enjoyed making this card as it was pouring down,  yet again, with rain and lifted my spirits and made me laugh.
