I love poetry so whenever there is an opportunity to introduce some - I am there!
The poem is by Henry W. Longfellow and just about says it all. The backing paper is from Cottage Gardens by Joanna Sheeen and features delphiniums which are in bloom just now. I used irridescent lavender and key lime Brilliance ink to sponge the text and added prima flowers spritzed with Sticky Fingers Violet and Lilac inks. The centres are lavender Pearlidoodles.
Thanks for stopping by on this wet and very windy Sunday afternoon. Please feel free to leave a comment, all are most welcome.

This is a beautiful card Janet and I love the poem. My knowledge of poetry is very little so I do love reading pieces on blogs like your own.
ReplyDeleteWe are still in the throws of the heatwave and whilst I don't want the wind and rain (worst possible mix as far as I'm concerned) I do wish it would cool down.

ReplyDeleteWe are being spoilt with all the lovely cards today and yours is stunning, delphiniums are such a showy flower and make a perfect statement. I haven't seen this one on the cd so must have another look, the poem is perfect and beautifully coloured topped off with those flowers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to share with us at CD Sunday again this week.
