Second post of the day! Must have an election a bit more often ....
I thought I would use the prizes I won from Crafty Ann's a few weeks ago. I know this is not very seasonal but I have been itching to try out the squirrel digi.
I coloured him in with pencils and OMS, cut him out and clear embossed. The leaf litter is stamped in Rusty Hinge DI and some of the leaves (x Tattered Angels) embossed with Dark Bronze Lustre. I also cut out and embossed a separate leaf for a bit of dimension. I used two of the embossed dots backing papers, beige for the leaves and pale green for the background.
Thanks for dropping by and do please leave a comment!

Janet, this is beautifully crafted. Squirrels are year-round in my yard, so there is no seasonal to it. The acorns are there most seasons, too, just sometimes they are green not brown. This looks like it was so much fun to do. Glad you got to use your new goodies. I'm still trying to figure out OMS. It will probably hit me sometime during the night. Your coloring is great.
ReplyDeleteoh wow Janet this is fabulous isn't that image gorgeous and you have created a fabulous little scene for him thank you so much for sharing this with us at Crafty Ann's

Thanks for the answer about the Odorless Mineral Spirits, Janet. This is a new technique to me; maybe old stuff to everyone else. I have Primacolor pencils, and watercolor pencils. I'm guessing you are using plain colored pencils, not the watercolor ones. I'll have to try it on my inexpensive ones to see how that works.I like the way the squirrel looks colored this way. If this is not correct, please email me at
