This week our normally cheery hero seems to have lost some of his optimism and enthusiasm following another misunderstanding and as a direct result of him listening at keyholes to private conversations. When will he ever learn?
He writes to his half-brother Malcolm,
Hi Malcolm,
Xui said I would be much better off with an iPad and I thought GREAT
we can keep in touch over the internet.
Wrong. This is his version of an iPad and I'm still getting
the eyedrops 4 times a day.
Oh, yes and we are in Turkey.

Here is the page I made for his travel book.
The images are of the temple at Amman, a Turkish carpet, Turkish Delight, Tommy Cooper who wore a fez (and was also a friend of my grandfather's, who was also a magician). I edged the page with a lovely piece of paisley ribbon. The postcard is stamped, masked and brayered. Stamps are by StampsAway and Create and Craft.
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments. I have so much fun doing this challenge and I love to visit all your entries and keep up with the stories.

DragonsDream TIO #112 - The Thorn Birds
I have tried to create an Australian Outback scene with my Darkroom Door photo stamp. I grew up in South Australia and remember the brown, red and ochre colours against the turquoise sky very well. The koala and emu stamps from Lidl are very tongue-in-cheek but filled up the space at the end nicely! I drew a cracked background to represent the parched earth.
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave a comment - I enjoy them all.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge #198 - Butterflies
A new Tim Holtz On the Edge die prompted this card! The butterfly edges have been coloured with Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks, as has the embossed central panel (folder by Craft Concepts). The triple embossed heart sentiment is a stamp from Chocolate Baroque and the backing paper from Graphicus.
Thank you for stopping by and do leave a comment - I am encouraged by every one.

CD Sunday Challenge - Spring has Sprung
I have returned to one of my most favourite CD's for this week's challenge, the quality Floral Fantasia by Krafty Hands. The image has been decoupaged and it has made a very impressive 8 x 7 card. My photograph does not do it justice. I merely added the lilac ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave a comment, I am encouraged by them all.

Postcard Travels with Roland Poland - Week 12 Israel
The Xong's are booked in for hydrotherapy at a spar on the Dead Sea, accompanied by Roland Poland. As usual, things haven't turned out quite as he expected.
He writes to his half-brother Malcolm,
Quiet week, Malcolm.
Went with Xui and Co. for treatment at the Dead Sea. Cured the frost pad and reduced the bruising from when the Dutch Fire Brigade pulled my arm out of the wall.
Unfortunately, the Dead Sea Salt made my eyes sore and I have to have drops in now.
This is the way I see the view from the hotel window in Jerusalem.

CD Sunday Challenge - Spots and Dots
I have used Kirsty Wiseman's Patty Picklicious CD for the retro spotty papers that cover the bird house - made from a Sizzix die and an empty cardboard box. The bird is from the Tim Holtz Birdcage die. It has also been cut from stiff cardboard and then covered in modelling paste and I used a small embossing tool to make the relief spots on its body. When it was dry I used Spun Sugar Distress stains to colour. I also used the Spun Sugar to stencil the vine die cut (using the negative part) onto the card. The green vine is the die cut from the same Sizzix die.
Thanks for stopping by and do feel free to leave a comment, I appreciate every one!

Postcard Travels with Roland Poland - Week 11 Netherlands
Our cheery and cheeky canine warrior has been in the wars. Returning from Canada with frost pad and fleas from his compatriot sledge dogs, he was immediately despatched to the Poodle Parlour with express instructions from Mrs Xong for a good wash and his teeth cleaning as his breath smelled of fish. This week finds them in Amsterdam.
He writes to his brother Malcolm,
He writes to his brother Malcolm,
Dear Malcolm,
Went to a cafe in town with Mrs X. They were all
smoking funny stuff. I got dizzy and on the way home,
saw a hole in the wall and, remembering the story our
Mam told us about Pietre and the Dyke, I put my paw
in it. The fire brigade had to pull me out. Mrs X is
LIVID.

Here is the page I made in his travel book.
The ship and compass were added as my husband's family originate from Rotterdam and were mostly sea captains on the sail boats.
Stamps used in the postcard are from StampsAway. Thank you for all your lovely comments. We both thoroughly enjoy reading them and visiting all the other entries.
