Bah ! Humbug! Challenge - Tags and Labels

Never really having used tags on a card much, I found this week's challenge a bit difficult. So traditional red and green seemed best.

I decided to keep it simple and went for Christmassy paper mounted on red foil card and then onto a dark green base.

The tag images are by The Stampman and were bought when I first started stamping and have never been used! Green ink, clear embossed and then the sentiment embossed in red tinsel and the tags sponged in Antique Linen DI. A red eyelet and a red and gold ribbon completes.

Crafty Ann's Challenge #12 - Let the sunshine in

We certainly have had a glorious day here in Moray, sunny, warm and very little breeze.

Sunshine means yellow to me, so to start I brayered shiny card with yellow and then with yellow, orange and red brayered over the top to about halfway. The sunrise image is by I Brake For Stamps and was stamped in black Stazon.

I layered the finished image onto gold, yellow and finally black card and then onto the yellow base card. The sentiment is computer generated.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 98 - Red, black, gold and touch of Oriental

Well, this challenge is just my cup of tea! I love oriental and bold colours.

Cuttlebug Fleur de Lis folder, embossed design sanded and then overinked with black and on the gold piece black and red.

Dragons (Stampin USA) embossed in Halo Gold and cut out.

All mounted on gold card onto a black base.

Creating Rainbows Forum April Card Swap

The theme this month was Under the Sea. The seahorse is stamped and embossed over a brayered background overstamped with a scallop shell and grasses. I used my favourite Versafine Deep Lagoon ink for most of the stamping.

The seaweeds are stamped and embossed and then pearls and sequins added for bubbles. All these stamps are from Elusive Images.

The waves and little fishes is a rollerwheel from Stampin' Up and is a real favourite of mine.

Dragonsdream Tag Challenge - In the City

This is my interpretation of In the City.

My tag represents Manchester. A city I used to know extremely well. Red Victorian industrial brick, railway viaducts and canal tunnels.

The chandelier is for the sparkling nightlife and grand hotels and casinos. A city of contrasts.

Bah!-Humbug! Challenge 12 - Embossing

Seeing as we have had so much snow here, in the Highlands, I chose snowflakes to decorate my card. It seemed appropriate!

I made a half gatefold card in french navy and dry embossed the white panels with some ornate corners, which I lightly inked over with blue.

The snowflakes are made up of three layers, two of acetate and one printed vellum layer. I glittered the edges with silver. A large peel off greeting in silver finished the card.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 97 - Through the Window

As I had no window templates and knowing I am lethal with a craft knife (having been despatched by the sword in a previous life!) I decided to stick to something safe!

My image is one from Joanna Sheen's Childhood plate. It is coloured with pencils and blended with OMS. I wanted to give the impression it was a picture on the wall of a living room so I used the Spellbinders Classic Frame, created a dado rail and Cuttlebugged embossed paper below.

The soft green embossed dots paper used for the 'wallpaper' was part of the prize for being lucky enough to win Crafty Anns challenge last week!
