Postcard Travels with Roland Poland - Week 30 India

Roland Poland  writes to his half-brother Malcolm,

Hi Malcolm,
Was half asleep, under the table, when I heard Xui say,
"Let's go to the Taj Mahal".
GREAT - I thought - chicken bhuna and poppadums,
my favourite.
What a let down - nothing to eat and not a waiter
in sight.  Not like the Bengal Spice in Morecambe.
RP

Here is the travel book page I made for the ungrateful little chap.

I have included snake charmers and elephants together with festival dancing and bathing in the Ganges.  The colours are simply wonderful.
The postcard has been brayered over a resist paisley pattern and stamped with a variety of stamps from Tanda and  Non Sequitor.  It seemed appropriate to include lots of bling as the colours seemed to shout for it!
Thanks for stopping by and do feel free to leave a comment - I find them all very encouraging.

Postcard Travels with Roland Poland - Week 26 United States of America

Xui is in Chicago attending a finance conference.  Mrs Xong, accompanied by Roland Poland, is sourcing Native American jewellery on an Indian reservation.

He writes to his half-brother Malcolm,
Hi Malcolm,
This is the medicine man, he does a lot of dancing
and howling and in the firelight, he looks
like that Black Dog from Whitby.
He's OK really when he's not been smoking
that pipe.
Living in a tent like we did at Glastonbury and
my Indian tribal name is GetsInWay.
RP
PS There was no sign of Uncle Hughie.

Here is the page I made for him this week for his travel book.  We have included one of Roland Poland's all time heroes Rin Tin Tin.  The lovely vintage poster of Chicago is by Vintage FeedSacks (link in sidebar).

The postcard  medicine man image is from I Brake For Stamps and the buffalo from TandaStamps, coloured with Copic markers.
Thank you for stopping by and do feel free to leave a comment - I appreciate every one.  You are also invited  to follow the other travellers in this most interesting challenge (link in sidebar).

Rainbow Lady's Challenge #122 - Around the World

I am rather late posting this 4 x 4 page - I have been away visiting my pal Wanda and partaking of the delight that is Port Sunlight Happy Stampers North West Show.
I have used Wanda's Tanda stampset Wild Animals and chosen Africa for my country. I have used Aged Mahogany, Fired Brick and Brushed Corduroy Distress Inks and done some double stamping. I hope you like this, I think the rhino stamp is brilliant.
Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a comment - I enjoy reading them all!
