Who says your own artwork isn't good enough to frame!
Crafty Ann's Challenge this week is Anything But a Card. I used one of Ann's Music Collages and decoupaged the violin and roses to give dimension and added Glossy Accents to the roses for extra shine and depth. Coloured pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirit were used to colour the
Collage. You get a lovely blended finish without the expense of Pro-Markers or Copics.
The roses on the frame were made using Crafty Ann's Funky Papers yellow/orange. They were punched out using a 6 -lobed punch and each flower is three layers. The edges of each punched flower have been distressed, inked with walnut stain DI and rolled over a wooden skewer for shape and interest. The bases of the layers were cut to fit and glued together forming the flower. Foliage was punched from scraps of coloured paper.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will join us over at Crafty Ann's and show us all the treasures you have made!
This is stunning Janet - and yes, I confess that I didn't think that anyone would think my drawings good enough to want to frame them, but that was before you got let loose on colouring them! I can vouch for just how beautiful this is because it now has pride of place in my new craft room and believe me everyone it is fab-u-lous!!

Wow, Janet I am so behind with visiting I feel ashamed. You have been busy with some beautiful creations. This frame is really lovely and I the colour of the roses on the collage echoed in your dimensional flowers is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Feather project you did a few posts back. Those feathers are gorgeous and I'm like you in that I hardly ever have any idea of what a piece is going to be like when finished and even if I do it rarely turns out like my imaginings, Lol!
