I have used the lovely Morning Glory digi from Crafty Ann as the focal point for my DL card. The backing mat is simply embossed with Cuttlebug Leafy Branch folder and a border punch by Stampin Up has softened the leading edge, allowing the base card to show through. The morning glory has been coloured with copics and decoupaged for added dimension. The sentiment, by Stampin Up, is stamped and embossed in white onto the pink base card.
I do hope you like my simple and elegant birthday card and look forward to visiting you to see all your wonderful creations.
Welcome back to blog land Janet! Such a lovely, fresh card with plenty of interest. Gentle colouring. Love the border punch too. The sentiment finishes it off nicely.

Your card truly is gorgeous and elegant, Janet. And just so you know you are not the lone ranger, out my way there is no FIOS and my computer is 7 years old and slow. My dh's laptop is new and faster. Some of the blogs I visit have videos or music and my poor ole computer just gets all choked up. Sometimes even the escape key doesn't cure it and I have to turn the computer off, even though it's not properly done. At any rate, it is really painful to leave comments at times. Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope I don't have any of the above hindrances. If I do, please let me know. I know I don't have videos or music, but something else may me a hindrance.
ReplyDeleteSimple, elegant and so VERY effective!
ReplyDeleteA lovely card,Janet, and your cutting around the lovely morning glory, specially the tendrils!! is admirable :-)
