CD Sunday Challenge - Say It With Scallops
The lovely backing paper is from DebbeesCD's Spring Butterflies and Lace. The scalloped parchment has been punched with two different punches, one Martha Stewart and the other Stampin'Up. The flowers were punched with the Boho Blossoms punch from SU and sponged with Brocade Blue ink, which was a perfect match to the backing paper.
So glad I can, at last, support Guest Designer Jen and I do hope you like my card.

Paint Fusion Workshop
No Broadband, A Workshop and a Train Crash
My friend Wanda invited me to stay and go to the Port Sunlight Happy Stampers North West Show and book for the Sheena Douglass Paint Fusion workshop the following weekend. I never in my wildest dreams ever thought I would be able to attend one of Sheena's workshops due to living very near the end of the world but I got a place and had a ball!
I had great train journeys to and from Wanda's in North Wales except for the last 25 miles of my journey home when the train I was travelling in hit a tree on the line and everything came to a grinding halt. Fortunately no one was hurt but the impact tore off the driver's door and smashed the front of the train up. You can see all the bits of tree still stuck underneath the carriage. As there was no mobile phone service at the accident location, it was quite a while before we could contact folks to tell them we were ok. Too much excitement for me! Glad to be blogging again though.

Crafty Ann's Challenge #41 - Oriental
I used just ordinary colouring felt tips as they gave a better colour than Copics or Promarkers. I used a Krylon pen to give gold detail to the lanterns. The lotus flower is printed onto gold mirri card and then part of it has been decoupaged.
Do come and join us at Crafty Ann's (see link in sidebar) we love to see your wonderful creations and you will be made most welcome!

DragonsDream TIO #78 - Texturise
Had great fun this week playing! I have used an embossing folder on brown card and coloured over with Distress Inks until I liked the effect. The green horizontal strip is grunge paper, dry embossed with circles and laced with string. I spent ages coiling string to create the embellishment at the bottom and then coloured it with inks and placed a brad in the centre of each coil. The circle stamps are from Paper Artsy and stamped in Rusty Hinge onto textured Bazill card. I thought it had an 'industrial' feel to it so I added the sentiment also from Paper Artsy.
Thanks for stopping by and do feel free to leave a comment - I enjoy reading them all on the odd occasion the internet is working at Redmoss! Hopefully BT engineer #8 will fix it!

DragonsDream TIO #77 - Colour My World Purple
Purple is a big colour and so I have used a bold flower stamp from Elusive Images and masked stamped in Aubergine and kept the layout simple. The background is made from blending Memento Sweet Plum and Lulu Lavender. The flower is stamped onto lilac card, cut out and cuttlebugged with Swiss Dots folder and overinked with Sweet Plum to create the dimensional flower. The sentiment is from Creative Expressions.
Hopefully my internet woes will be over this week and normal service will be resumed! Thank you for stopping by and do feel free to leave a comment - I love to keep in touch.

CD Sunday Challenge - Stamping
Oh joy! I can enter one of my challenges at last! Internet is still very unreliable, but at least it is working this afternoon!
My starting point was the beautiful botanical print paper from Joanna Sheen's RHS CD1. I have stamped on vellum using a hedgerow bouquet stamp from I Brake For Stamps in Victorian Violet Brilliance ink. The sentiment, maker unknown, is from my recent trip to Ally Pally. I have mounted it with gold brads onto gold mirri and then onto the violet card. I am afraid that the photo does not do it justice.
Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a comment - they are all much appreciated.
