If you were a fairy, what plant would you choose to represent?Everyone can't be a rose fairy or a foxglove fairy or something equally gorgeous. Someone has got to be the cabbage fairy.
This card is dedicated to all you CABBAGE FAIRIES out there!
All of you who get on quietly doing unglamourous jobs for the good of us all.
Talking today to my daughter Eleanor, who is doing a nursing degree at Manchester, made me think of all the countless folk who just get on with things and hardly ever have their time in the spotlight.
My fairy, by Sweet Pea Stamps, is called Bad Hair Day and has been coloured with copics. The sentiment is by Tlc and the backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Cottage Gardens CD.
Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment, they are all appreciated.
I love this image and the way you've put it together made me smile. Love the use of the cabbage backing paper, wouldn't have thought of this myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in with us at CD Sunday again and best of luck in the draw.

Hi Janet. I love everything about this card, the story behind it and the wonky wing. My late Mother and my grandaughter are both named Eleanor. A favourite name with me. I wish your Eleanor good luck in her chosen career.

ReplyDeleteOh brilliant - love the idea of celebrating the 'cabbage fairies'. I'll look more carefully next time I see a cabbage white on the brassicas.
