Rainbow Lady's Challenge 100 - April Showers

I fancied making a man's card for this challenge using this lovely image from Elusive Images Edwardian plate. The stamp is embossed onto a piece of mountboard which has been painted with acrylics then mounted onto a piece of dp using a distress spot stamp (also EI).
I tried several background techniques which were not what I wanted and finally decided to type some of the words to Judy Garland's April showers song and sponge Mustard Seed at Walnut Stain over.
I have been lucky this week as my friend Wanda (Sunshine Crafter) is visiting and we are having alot of fun playing with inks and getting all very messed up!
Thanks for stopping by and all comments are more than welcome.

  6. Great card Janet. That EI themeplate is just about my favourite for mens cards and I love how you've used this particular image. The colours are great too.

Typing those song lyrics out and using them as background is inspired! Say hi to Wanda for me and have a great time you two.
