Boy you guys know how to set a difficult challenge! This is my fourth attempt - the others landed in the waste bin!
For the main image I used an Elusive Images tree from the Snowy Trees plate and stamped it twice and embossed it in shades of pink embossing powders. I then stamped and embossed the tree again in black to give the image some depth and sponged the background.
I matted this onto the next size nestie die after having stamped the pink card with the tree again in black and embossing the edges with sparkly embossing powder.
Silver fabric snowflakes and pink foliage and flower finish the card.
Thanks for visiting my blog and please leave a comment.

Hi Janet
ReplyDeleteI've just had a good tour round your blog, there's some fab stuff here!! Such a wide variety as well - is that what you mean by a compass with no north? If so, it's a great compliment and I thank you for it. I love how you have managed all these Xmas cards in spring, I can hardly bear them by the time Christmas comes - so a good idea to have a weekly challenge to make one, by the end you'd have 52!

In a way it's a pity to have to bin stuff but it did lead to this stunning card so I think it was time well spent. It's fabulous.

Bah! Humbug!
This is gorgeous Janet. I'm not a pink girl and I would never have thought I'd like a pink Christmas card so much, but I do!
ReplyDeleteYour stamping and embossing certainly achieved the depth you wanted. Lovely!!!

Sorry Janet - pink seemed like an 'easy peasy' one at the time. Fine if you have a good collection of papers but not so good if you haven't. Everyone, including you, have done amazing cards though so it shows what we can do when stretched.
ReplyDeleteNext week's challenge (starting tomorrow) is super easy - I promise.
