Secret Garden

My very first crafty post is not a card but a page from a book I have been making over the past few months. Secret Garden is my fantasy garden. I enjoy designing it, putting in the plants and sitting and enjoying it. Unfortunately, my reality garden is nothing like this! It is very much a Work in Progress and will not be finished any time soon as I only add to it infrequently.

The stamps I have used are mainly from Creative Expressions and the bench is a Flowersoft stamp. The cobbled paving is made using Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Tiny Bubbles and wiping it over with a couple of Distress Inks. The foliage backing paper behind the bench is from Joanna Sheens Cottage Garden CD. The ivy is decoupaged and all the elements are fixed with dimensionals to give it depth.

  2. Wow Janet, what a fab idea for the pebbled surface. Your secret garden looks great but your garden for real looks fantastic - and the view on your blogheader - magnificent. Don't know if you'll get my comment on the first post - hit the refresh button and may have lost it. Well done for setting up your blog so well. Welcome to blogland.
