CD Sunday Challenge - Art Nouveau

Posted by PicasaDoesn't time fly! This is my final week as Guest Designer and I must say, I have thoroughly enjoyed myself looking at all your wonderful creations. Our theme this week is Art Nouveau, and for this card I have used the Peacock Summer Party CD by Artylicious for the papers. The main image comprises an ornate screen stamp by StampCamp and a lovely lady stamp from Debbi Moore which has been embossed and decoupaged in front of the screen. The mount behind has been stamped with a Clarity flourish and embossed with cosmic shimmer Arctic Pearl ep. The corners are punched with a punch from Stampin Up which I must confess I find extremely hard to use. The swirl flourish is from Marianne Creatables and the flowers are moulded from punched pearlescent paper with tiny gems for centres. A co-ordinating irridescent purple and gold ribbon completes.
I apologise for the dark photograph but we have not had many days good enough to take a decent picture with my little camera.
Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you will join us this week at CD Sunday Challenge. You will be made very welcome.

Bah! Humbug! #8 - Things that Fly ...

Posted by PicasaMy little Ezybelle angel was flying before she got caught up in the Christmas tree! She has been coloured with Copics and mounted on some Artylicious Christmas script paper and then onto some rather retro looking paper which was a freebie in Crafts Beautiful magazine. I have randomly glittered some of the circle and so it sparkles very nicely.
The rather apt sentiment is also by Ezybelles.
Thanks for visiting and do feel free to leave a comment - I find them all very encouraging.

Crafty Ann's Challenge #35 - Happy Birthday

Posted by PicasaGood morning crafters! Our challenge over at Crafty Ann's is Happy Birthday. My card is a large 8 x 8 and I have used Ann's Rose Posy digi stamp which includes the posy and single stem rose. The flowers are coloured with Copics and mounted onto an embossed Cuttlebug frame called Scribbles. The backing paper is Ann's Abstract in pale brown which I think gives a lovely silky fabric look. An embossed sentiment and ribbon complete. I also added a little crystal glitter to the single rose bud for interest.
Do come and join us at Crafty Ann's Challenge as we love to see your wonderful creations and you will be made very welcome!

DragonsDream TIO # 69 - Fun and Games

Posted by PicasaI need some fun at the moment! Thanks for lifting my spirits Frankie with this challenge. My main image is a vintage digi from TLC which has been coloured and cut out. I sponged the background using Bordering Blue (Stampin Up) and Bundled Sage DI. The trees from Clarity are stamped using Marvy Markers and the foliage is Peeled Paint on part of a Clarity larch tree.
The sentiments are from the very useful Alice in Wonderland set from Clear Art Stamps.
Thank you for dropping by and please feel free to leave a comment - all are always appreciated.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge #141 - Shabby Chic

Posted by PicasaGood morning friends! I have used Clarity Stamps small silhouette stamped in vintage sepia Versafine onto pink/beige cardstock. The pearly frame is cut with nesties and mounted onto matted layers using Bearly Mine Shabby Chic papers. I love these designs and use them quite often on my gentler cards. The flowers are punched with a 6 petalled flower punch and then embossed with the Textile Cuttlebug folder. A smaller punch and a pearl completes.
Thanks for stopping by and do feel free to leave a comment - I find them all very encouraging.

Bah! Humbug! #7 - Use a CD

Not one but two entries this week! As usual for me, I did the first one (the green wreath) back to front and got a different look to the burgundy wreath which was done the correct way around!
To make this, all you need is a fancy edged circle or flower punch that will more or less fit across the cd. I used a 1.75 inch scallop circle punch. Punch out about 12 shapes in both dark and light paper and cut them in half. With a drop of pva or a zig pen stick each half circle to the cd and overlap the next one on top, alternating dark and light paper. The idea is to let the scallop edge show! As you can see in the green one I mounted the half circles the wrong way around! To finish off, punch out a picture from a xmas card or stamp one and mount it on a decorative circle and fix to the centre.
I added red and gold pearly doodles to the wreath and practised a spot of bow tying with some co-ordinating ribbon.
I think these would make a lovely centre piece for a large heavyweight card or stick two together and you have a tree ornament.
The paper I used was from Artylicious.
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave a comment. I find them all very encouraging!

CD Sunday Challenge - Get ahead Get a Hat!

Posted by PicasaGoodmorning crafters! Today's challenge over at CD Sunday is hats. I thought I might make a man's card today and paid another visit to Joanna Sheen's Fashion Boutique. The backing paper was from the Accessories section. The stoppers on the easel card are a trilby and a top hat that I cut out, mounted separately and fixed under the ribbon. The hat names are computer generated.
I do hope you will join us this week and I look forward to seeing what wonderful creations you come up with.
